TTR Bikes

We sell bikes. Not punchy enough? We sell smart, sustainable transportation and people-powered fun. This is where we write about it.

. . . but our minds are open.

The City is putting in new sidewalks on Hudson Street, which will be safer for the kids at the new AJ Whittenberg school and all the prospective users of the Kroc Center, which looks like it's proceeding full steam. The immediate implication for us is that the parking lot at TTR will probably be blocked for a couple of days while the crews work their magic. We'll remain open, of course, and on-street parking is legal and available beside the building, on Oscar Street.

And speaking of full steam, the Washington Street road diet is rolling along.

In this section of West Washington, four unnecessary car lanes have become two car lanes, a center turn lane, and bike lanes. Along with the planted medians and sidewalk rehab that's been done, it amounts to a significant improvement on this east-west corridor. If you're a city resident, thank your council member for funding these bike- and pedestrian-friendly projects.

mnccrary: sidewalk update http://www.ttrbikes.com
It's part of the upgrade to Hudson St, aimed at making access better for the new Whittenberg School and the Kroc Center, but everybody in the neighborhood—and SRT users—will benefit.
