Breezer Greenway 21" (L): regular $750, now $499. This is the higher-spec Greenway. It's a great ride and a stealth fast commuter. Terrific design with front and rear eyelets.

'Bents & Trikes:  

Cycle Genius Sparrow: Entry level bike, $599. This is an honest, solid little bike. 

Sun EZ Tandem Sport AX. This is the aluminum version of the EZ Tandem, which features independent coasting for captain and stoker. It's light—for a recumbent tandem, anyway—and very rider friendly. This is an older model (07 or 08?) It was a good deal at $2300, but it's a serious bargain at $1900. A lot of riders prefer it to the alternatives, which are considerably more expensive. 

Sun S-1 SX Ergo. This is a compact long wheelbase, 20/20 bike. It's a sporty ride, but still beginner friendly. It's got high enough cranks to be a performance bike if you wish. $799

RANS Trizard: This go-fast lowracer trike is made in the USA. $1899.
