We sell a lot of tandem- and recumbent- specific gear and parts, as well as gear to outfit touring bikes. Of special interest to owners of older tandems, we can upgrade many tandems to a rear disc brake to give drag-brake capability and greatly improved stopping power, and we can upgrade drivetrains to 9-speed with STI shifters.

We also focus on outfitting commuters and urban cyclists with gear--fenders, bags, bells, lights--whatever gets you to from point A to point B in safety and occasionally in style. We like to choose products that we've tested, and we focus on choosing products that emphasize sustainability and cradle-to-cradle lifecycle planning. For example, wool apparel from Ibex and EWR; or Pedro's nonpetroleum-based lubes and seat bags made from used inner tubes.

For touring customers, we stock a selection of recommended racks, panniers, and bags. Notable among these are Old Man Mountain racks, Tubus racks, and Ortlieb panniers. New for this season are Detours bags.

We offer the Rotor line of specialty cranksets which offer ergometric advantages to everyone from UCI racers in the Classic European Tours, to weekend recumbent tourists. These cranksets are especially popular, though, with those trying to excel on recumbent bicycles in races and time trials. Safety in bicycling is especially important to us, and we keep available a unique selection of safety items such as lights, high-visibility or reflective additions for clothing and bikes, rearview mirrors for all bikes, etc. When riding on multi-use paths, something as simple as a $5 bell can save you a fall or a lot of aggravation.
