A Bikevillian—I always want to say Bikevillain—brought this to my attention while we were on bike valet duty at Artisphere this afternoon. This is our Conference Bike being spun around town by Leadership Greenville:

 

Always-thoughtful Bicycle Design has another interesting post about velomobiles, with links to Flevobike and Goblin Motors, among others. I'm always amazed James manages to find time to do this even thought he has a real job. 

 The Bicycle Design post nods at the recumbent bike's current outlaw (heh) status with the UCI. I'm not any more anxious than James is to launch into this issue, but I will say that I've gotten to know some of the recumbent riders (mostly through Team Bacchetta) who compete in endurance/ultra events—where recumbents often have their own class—and I know that they're the kind of people you'd want associated with your sport.
